What a nice couple this is!! We had a great time meeting them and helping Milessa bring her vision to life. The detail on this wedding was incredible, Victoria and her team from Victoria Canada Wedding’s and Events makes it all look so easy and natural.
Stephanie’s photos are always such a high-lite for us, we could look at them for hours!
Below is a picture of the gate we did for the ceremony, we just loved this piece and wanted everyone to enjoy it also.

This was a beautiful wedding that could have gone horribly wrong if all involved especially Darcy and Chuck had let the weather get in the way!
The tent was last minute, the winds were gusting, rain was off and on but you would never know it from the beautiful photos.
I highly advise you to see all the photo’s and check out the other venders involved!

It was just one of those magical days where everything falls into place almost effortlessly.

Ashley’s baby shower!

We don’t have many baby showers in our portfolio but this one really rocks!
Ashley is so sweet and we just loved that we could help celebrate with her! We had the opportunity to meet and work with her sisters planning the floral part of the shower and can I just say that her sister’s are as sweet as Ashley!

Boutonniere = after thought

As I sit at my desk and listen to the consultations I hear the excitement as Tamara starts to visualize and virtuality build the bouquet for the bride. From there the bridesmaids dress color is discussed and their bouquets built. I hear Tamara bring up the boutonniere’s and I hear “Does grandma want a wrist or pin on corsage” The ceremony discussion always seems to be a little light hearted, as if the bride has seen her ceremony so many times in her imagination the look almost builds itself.
I can always tell when the consultation is about to move on to the centerpiece, the tone becomes a little more serious, the bride seems a little less sure at this junction. As the consultation continues all the details are worked out, what the moms will wear, what the flower girl carries, the petals for the aisle.
Then I hear it, “Oh gosh, we almost forgot the boys”, that’s right the forgotten boutonniere. It always seems to be an after thought, and I am hear to say “Shame, shame!”
What are to follow are some pictures of boutonniere’s from just the month of October, (yes I know that was 4 months ago) I think you will see they can be a very cool little detail that does have personality.

Photo Shoots

We recently did a photo shoot with Ashley Gain at the Valley Ho. The photos turned out beautiful! The very talented Stephanie Fay was there to capture all the details.

When you see the end result everything looks stunning and perfect, what you don’t see is all the behind the scenes planning.
The day usually, for us, starts very early. We get to the studio and finish off the last of the detail items, making sure we have some back up product because we will always need to replace or make something impromptu.
This day started off cold, I think the outside temperature was is the low 40′s, this was the temperature inside the studio. Yes I know all you mid west and east coast people are saying waaaaaaaaaaa! but just as there is a “dry heat”, there is also a dry cold!
So once we got to the Valley Ho we realized that our birch plexiglass card display was going to become an issue. Not only was it cold but the rain showed up. Not a good combination when you are using suction cups to hang the engraved, metallic name cards provided by Rene with Celebrations In Paper. I am sure it was quite a site to see us using our breath to try to warm the suction cups up so we could get the photo before they all lost connection with the plexiglass.
Any one in the event industry knows what the wind will do to those paper name cards you have just lined up all perfect. Yes we had wind also, the shoot was full of obstacles and small mishaps but in the end you can see it turned out fantastic!
